Linux/RT-Linux CAN Driver (0.3-rc1)

   Description

The LINCAN is an implementation of the Linux device driver supporting more CAN controller chips and many CAN interface boards.

   Main features

The main features provided by this module are:

  • LinCAN driver can be compiled for Linux kernel 2.2.x, 2.4.x and 2.6.x
  • The LinCAN driver is the loadable module for the Linux kernel which implements CAN driver.
  • The driver communicates and controls one or more CAN controllers chips.
   Platform characteristics
Provides: The driver provides equivalent device interface for both Linux user-space processes and RT-Linux POSIX threads
Each chip/CAN interface is represented to the applications as one or more CAN message objects accessible as character devices.
